Summary

Each bid costs just $0.60. Bids are available in Bid Packs of 40, 75, 300, 600 and 800 bids. These bids are pre-paid and placed in your Bids Account. Each time you place a bid, your Bids Account is deducted one bid, and a maximum of 20 seconds is added to the timer every time someone bids. If you are the top bidder when the timer reaches zero, you win! You then pay the ending auction price plus shipping. If you do not win, you lose your bids that have been placed; however, we offer on most auctions a "Buy it Now" feature! This feature allows you to put the money spent in bids on the item towards buying the item. An example is illustrated below.

My favorite thing about this is even if you don't win the auction you can use the money you spent on the bids to buy it. The only drawback is the bids have to be bought from store not bought at auction and they do not tell you that. Great Site for Customer Service.

  2.   Nice site as long as they make money from you,

I have won 5 items from this site. The first 2 items were cheap in price and I was able to get those with no problem. The 3rd item was a PS3 game. I got this item as well since it sold for $1.50 on $0.01 bids. But the other 2 items I have been waiting on since the end of May, still not here and it is July. I just received and e-mail from them after asking and they said they would follow up with the vendor. The next day they cancelled the order. I guess winning a PS3 game under $0.25 is not profitable enough for them to place the order. They are however planning on giving me back my bids. Still no word on the other item. Buyer be ware. If you do not make them enough money on the item, you may not see your product.

I use this site the most, I tried winning a hair straightener but I wasn't that lucky. I love it because it has a chat room that you can login to and talk to other people bidding on the same thing you are. Has anyone used http://www.quichat.com ?

  4.   Great products, traffic and BIN! Bad CSR.,

First, let me say that Quibids was my favorite amongst the Penny Auctions. Until I got rudely terminated..and permanently without due process nor explanation.

I got this: We regret to inform you that your account has been permanently disabled by the Quibids Compliance department for violations of the Terms and Conditions. Any outstanding items that you have won in auction will be canceled and will not be refunded.

    WHAT???!!!!!!
What did I do????? What is wrong??!!! Totally clueless and out of the blue.
I am miffed because they refuse to honor my ONLY winning of the week: $100 Walmart at ~$18.
Furthermore, they refuse to refund my three LOSSES where I decided to do a BIN, at an add'l $103.

Every time I emailed CSR, they parroted the following: I am very sorry; I am *not* able to discuss the *specifics* of the compliance review process. I know it is frustrating, but our policy is to not disclose compliance procedures for security purposes. I can only inform you that your account has been permanently disabled due to violations of our site rules and terms of service.

The only thing on their TOS that could potentially be plausible is the usage of a third-party tracking. I DON'T USE THIRD PARTY TRACKING! The false positive may have been I was simultaneously signed on to Quibids with my internet and via CLEAR 4G, b/c I;m trying out their service. I also wanted to see how quickly the bids came through--comparison between cable and 4G. This prob tripped a false positive.

My problem is that CSR won't discuss it, won't hear of it; nothing. Fine, you lose customer. I can move on to other Penny Auctions. But what irks me that they won't refund all my money; they won't honor my win (obviously); but most of all they won't even clarify with me what I did wrong.

There are other sites that can use my business, as well as yours, which Quibids seems to not need nor want from me. I have filed a complaint with the Oklahoma City BBB, and am planning to speak with Jill Farrand the PR Director, as well as Matt Beckham, their CEO. (Ah, wish me luck).

I highly doubt they would be happy with the lack of professionalism in their CSR.
